Dubstep is another sub category of EDM, which just like all other types of EDM, originated in Europe. London, United Kingdom to be exact. Its overall sound has been described as "tightly coiled productions with overwhelming bass lines and reverberant drum patterns, clipped samples, and occasional vocals".
